Submissions
Submissions are accepted from artists and curators on an ongoing basis and reviewed quarterly by Gallery Director/Curators, and approved by a Programming Committee comprised of diverse voices from our Board of Directors. Exhibitions run 5-8 weeks in length and CAR/FAC fees are paid to all participating artists. Please see the floorplan for gallery dimensions. Note: measurements are +/- 2inches.
Artists are strongly encouraged to evaluate their work within the context of Access’ mandate.
Programming is determined approximately 12 months in advance.
Applications must be submitted by mail and include the following as PDFs or Word Documents on a CD or DVD.
* contact information including full mailing address and email address
* exhibition proposal – 500 words or less
* CV
* numbered image list that corresponds to your images, noting dates, dimensions, titles.
* artist statement – 300 words or less
and
* 15-20 numbered digital images or a 5 minute DVD. CDs and DVDs are accepted. Please write your first and last name on the disc. Slides are not accepted.
Applications that are incomplete, exceed the specified length, contain unlabelled components or deviate from the requested format may not be considered.
Specific requirements:
*Please make sure your digital support material is Mac compatible.
*For jpegs, name the first 9 images with a 0, i.e. 01, 02, 03, so that your images will show up in order and correspond to your image list.
*Jpegs should not exceed 72-120 dpi resolution.
*If you are submitting moving and still images, please put them all on one disk and use QuickTime.
*Please ensure your name is on everything that you submit in the package.
